Attached are 3 photos of the four front posts supporting the veranda roof at the Pilot’s Cottage Museum in Kiama.
It can clearly be seen the roof has detached from the four supports in the recent windstorm.

(probably Thursday duirng the day or Wednesday night).
This is quite remarkable as no record of such damage has ever been recorded since the cottage was built in 1881.

Thankfully the Council came on Friday and knocked the roof back onto the posts and attached brackets at the back of the posts  for support.

I will publish pictures of the brackets shortly.
